The most representative souvenirs from Taitung

For day 3, we recommend exploring the south side side of town. Start the day off with Siwei Night Market, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Pipa Lake. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.
For some, Taitung City may be the end of their east coast journey. But if you want to extend your trip all the way to the beaches of Kenting National Park at the southern tip of Taiwan, there are two ways to go about it. Spring and October are especially busy times, when the currents bring huge 台東團購美食 amounts of fish past this part of Taiwan. Years ago, Jici had a good campground with cool cabins on the beach, but nowadays it looks like it has seen better todays. You have to pay TWD100 to enter Jici Swimming Center (磯崎海水浴場), and swimming is only permitted when the seas aren’t too rough.

I also didn't know that they did not allow customers to sit inside the store so I did not get to see the interior. We were so amazed by the tea-flavoured ice-cream sold here that we tried this every single day we were in Taichung. The ice creams were not overly sweet, extremely fragrant, and complemented so well with the toppings and waffles. This place is worth the hype, and I can totally understand why it's always filled with customers. Try the tea flavours while you are here in Taichung.
It’s got some of the best snorkeling and scuba diving in Taiwan, and one of only three salt water hot springs in the world. You’ll find more bicycle and scooter rental shops around the stations in Chishang, Guanshan, and Taitung city. Scooter rental shops in Taiwan are becoming stricter about renting to foreigners. Some don’t want to, or they may ask for an IDP, passport, AND your home country  motorcycle license. If you have a Taiwanese motorcycle license, you’re good.
Taitung City converted several buildings of the old railway station into an exhibition space for local artists and artist in residence.. The main part of Taitung is small and compact enough to make walking a pleasant way to explore the city. This uniquely Taiwanese blend is still easily discernible in part because a lot of the recent advances in Taiwan's economy have passed Taitung by. This has prevented Taitung from devouring itself the way more successful cities have.

One popular option is the Taitung Bali Suites Hotel, which offers modern rooms and amenities, as well as easy access to nearby attractions. Each tribe has its language, customs, and way of life. Visiting the Taitung Tribal Culture Village is an opportunity to learn about the diversity and richness of Taiwan’s indigenous culture. Don’t miss out on this unique experience when you’re in Taitung.
These sun cakes are not only a tasty treat but also a perfect gift to bring back home to share a taste of Taitung with friends and family. Exploring the markets at Sanxiantai can provide travelers with the opportunity to purchase authentic and one-of-a-kind keepsakes that capture the essence of the region. Local artists often sell their artwork, including paintings and prints inspired by the natural beauty of Sanxiantai, which are highly appreciated by art enthusiasts and collectors. Alternatively, visitors to Sanxiantai may also consider purchasing local food products as souvenirs.
Even if the spices can be found in your home country, trust me, the Thai ones would be so much better. It’s also a perfect gift for a friend who enjoys cooking. I know it sounds weird, but the durian is the epitome of you-either-like-it or-hate-it food. That’s because of its unique smell, not only incredibly intense but also perceived differently by everyone. For some, the durian smells like a light bouquet of tropical fruits, while for others, it’s like rotten onions or a gas leak. The durian is so controversial that it’s banned from eating inside almost anywhere in South-East Asia.

Apple computers, laptops, iPhones, iPads, and other parts, PCs, Asus, Acer, and all the other brands are sold here at highly competitive prices. A very important thing you should know is that the new Taitung train station is not downtown. It takes roughly 15 minutes to travel by bus or taxi between Taitung train station and the downtown area, which is kind of an annoyance. There is not much interesting around the new station, apart from the BeiBBBBBB Museum. Otherwise, if you’re looking for some fun during the week in Taitung City proper, well… good luck!
Ferris-wheel is their signature icon for this mall. Most of the mall is outdoors with a section in doors. Large parking available and it's also next to Taichung peir. Be sure to get your tax refund if you purchased more than NT$2000 within a day at SOGO.

It's easy to miss it if you don't pay attention. There is a bicycle trail next to it, which is very comfortable to walk. The picture book library itself is small, but very warm and cute. There are picture books on the shelves that you can read, and graffiti books and toys on the table that you can play with.
Guanziling Hot Spring is a popular destination in Tainan, known for its dark gray water springs that flow from Zhentou Mountain. The area offers a developed hot-springs resort and a serene spa town with muddy, slightly slippery, sulfuric waters. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenic area and take advantage of the opportunity to explore the nearby theme park. Vibrate night market with a decent variety of food stalls.
A perfect place for a family holiday in tainan city. Fire and Water Spring offers a unique experience that sets it apart from other water springs. It's worth visiting to appreciate its distinctiveness.

The fresh fruit and vegetables section is quite small, though. Parking is convenient and most  of the shop owners are very friendly. They can even order plants or materials for you if they are out of stock.
