Specifically, he wants her wedding ring and its smaller but stunning ruby companion. When he pries open her casket, though, her body has already started to bloat and the rings are stuck on her swollen fingers. Dude is determined, so he cuts her fingers off.
The camera shots, the music, the lighting, it's all used to get a rise out of us. I told my brother what happened and he pulled me aside and told me not to mention it to my sister-in-law because she'll freak out, but that he had seen that same thing several times now, with the same whispering. After this, I had never heard another whisper again. Which is sad, because in some ways I would have liked to thank the man (masculine energy?) that had stopped me from going down those stairs. I am 20 years old now, and because of this incident I am still afraid of the dark.

With its birth in 1871 came the need for tons of pig iron to fix the U.S.'s crumbling infrastructure, so Colonel James Withers Sloss began to build Sloss Furnaces. A year later, the company opened its doors to hundreds of employees, according to its official website. Jobs on blast furnaces were advanced but also dangerous, and many workers started falling to their deaths in the furnaces. Lilz shares with us a story that her family went through and the effects of playing with black magic. Elisa Lam was last seen on January 31, 2013 in the lobby of the Cecil Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. She was vacationing through the West Coast, documenting the trip on her blog, and checking in with her parents every day.
She does everything to maintain the hairdo as instructed by the hairstylist, but one day she wakes up with a terrible itch in the scalp. She returns to her bedroom and puts the hand down again for the dog to lick. The dripping sound continues and the girl is too frightened to fall asleep. But as her hand gets licked from under the bed, she slowly falls asleep. Scared thoroughly, she tries to go back to sleep and puts her hand down the bed for a reassuring lick from her dog.

That doesn't mean this area has to always be empty. When you start reviewing camping options, your history will display here to help compare sites and find the best stay. Try these not-so-scary stories to spook your kids this Halloween. The next morning I had almost talked myself out of it, thinking it was a dream or had really been the boys.
The rooms themselves had been “modernized,” but it still felt like living in a gothic fever dream. As a 19-year old-romantic, I absolutely loved True Scary Stories it. I’m  in college, J and I break up and don’t keep in touch. I get a text from him out of the blue, a link to that “Slenderman” game.

I dropped it into first gear, punched it and drove the line I planned. Once I reach the top I am driving north through a canyon with high grass on both sides of the road. Up ahead I see some stuff in the middle of the road. As I approach I slow down to see a red Pontiac Fiero stopped sideways across both lanes, a suitcase open with clothes scattered everywhere and two bodies laying face down in the road, a man and a woman.
What exactly is there to say here other than watch out for seemingly innocuous inanimate objects, because in a Scary Stories series, they will be neither. Luckily, at least one of these is easily avoided. This soup, in particular, sounds most appetizing. With some carrots, green beans, corn, barley, onions, potatoes, and a “snitch of beef,” with some salt and pepper, this soup is chef’s kiss. The soupbone most certainly belongs to a corpse as it was found in a cemetery.
I don’t know how long I’d been sleeping when I was awoken by the familiar, freaky giggling. When I opened the door to the morgue I was sure I heard whispering suddenly stop. I turned to walk back out of the room and felt a hot breath on the back of my neck. I never was afraid of creepy country roads until that night. I felt the palpitations of my heart and wondered why I wasn’t responding to the alarm bells going off inside my mind.

Keep in mind this is a wraparound porch completely enclosed. I knew it was bad because my dogs, who will bark at a butterfly flying past the window, all looked up at the door and stepped back. Both times it happened I was doing the same thing about the same time at night.
As they snuggled up against each other and started to drift off to sleep, they heard a noise coming from the trees. And then, screams so loud the entire building heard them begin to ring out. At first, the partygoers thought it was part of the scary Halloween theme. But then, the owners of the building turned on all the lights and asked everyone to return to the lobby. The next morning, he drove back to the house where he had dropped her off, walked to the door, and rang the bell.

Readers of the book Short and Shiverymight remember the story of the Tailypo. This Appalachian folk tale is about a man living in a cabin in the  woods. One night he’s visited by a creature with “jaws like a weasel, ears like a fox, piercing yellow eyes like an owl, a monkey’s body … and bright red fur.” It also had a long tail it coiled around itself. The man chases the animal out of his cabin and slices off its  tail, which he then eats. Every night thereafter, the creature comes back, lurking outside his cabin and calling “tailypo, tailypo; just give me my tailypo.” As you can imagine, things do not end well for the man in the cabin.
As he flicked the last switch the living room went dark, as did rest of the house. As he stepped out he pulled on the door closing it behind him, still holding his food container in one hand he jogged down the few porch steps. He walked towards the front gate...our house resides far from the main street, essentially having a large front yard but no rear garage. As he closed the gap between himself and his friend-laden truck he kind of smiled and thought things over in his head, mad at himself for spooking out when there was no reason. Asian cinema has also produced horror films about ghosts, such as the 1998 Japanese film Ringu , and the Pang brothers' 2002 film The Eye.
