Childcare services in Bayswater
With kinder funding available to children, this supports vital learning and development during the early years, building a strong foundation for a successful transition to school and beyond. I come from a family of teachers and was always surrounded by strong, positive role models in education. Although I began my academic path in business, I felt a strong calling to make a meaningful impact during the formative years of children’s lives. What I love most about this field is the opportunity to support children, guide educators, and work in partnership with families every single day. Mayfield Baswater is a family orientated centre made up of a tightknit community of educators, children, and their families. Our staff thrive and emphasis on building trusting, secure and reciprocal relationships.
In Victoria, 3 and 4-year-old children are able to access a funded kindergarten program led by a Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teacher. If eligible, your child will be able to participate in the Government-approved Kindergarten program, at no cost, up to a minimum of 15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year. Our nursery room is purposely designed to make every baby feel safe exploring and discovering new things. Our spaces are filled with sensory experiences and daycare boronia activities to encourage intentional and responsive play-based learning.
“Reviewing our services is the responsible thing to do when there are such significant impacts for council, our services and our community. If a parent is unable or unwilling to pay, we ask that they speak with the School Business Manager to discuss options. Please note that non-payment has both an operational and financial impact on the nursery and without contributions, we cannot sustain the level of service and experiences that distinguish our provision.
Schemes 2 & 3, above, require an eligibility code that is obtained by parents and generated by HMRC. This code needs to be re-verified every 3 months for continued access to funding. Scheme 4 requires a voucher code directly from your Local Authority. Community-focused childcare, where the teachers seek to involve families and whānau. For kaiako and tamariki to really enjoy their day together, having fun and learning all the time.
Uniting offers exceptional kindergarten programs across Victoria, focusing on early childhood development, inclusivity, and community involvement. In our program, missing a day typically does not impact the 15 hours of funded kinder provided by the government. However, if your child is enrolled for care beyond the funded kinder session, you may still be charged for the additional hours at the standard daily rate. A kindergarten program is run during long day care for 3-year-old and 4-year-old children enrolled in our long day care program. Our kindergarten has early childhood qualified and registered teachers. The teachers are dedicated to, and passionate about, early childhood education.
We value the importance ofchild-initiated, play-based experiences. Supporting families is a big part of my role, and I do this by being present, approachable, and responsive. I take the time to get to know each family, their values, and their needs. Whether it’s easing the transition into care, helping with routines, or connecting families to community resources, I work to build strong, trusting relationships based on open communication and mutual respect. My goal is for every family to feel confident, heard, and supported throughout their journey with us here at our Bayswater early education centre. I feel incredibly lucky to be leading such a dedicated and experienced team here at Community Kids Bayswater.
We're proud to be recognised once again for our enduring commitment to supporting and empowering our staff to deliver safe, high-quality early learning. Children develop their social awareness and social skills – fairness, kindness/atawhai, turn taking and mahi tahi/working together – building relationships from which we all learn. I love Resource Rescue because the shelves of odds and ends inspire children (and adults!) to make new things by reusing old materials. By using recycled materials, creative experiences affordable and accessible to everyone – plus of course it’s good for the planet. While the times of your kindergarten sessions may vary depending on your specific location, children attend kindergarten for 15 hours a week.
